Order Your Thanksgiving Turkey Now!

Order by Wednesday the 20th!

Matt and Eleanor Tiefenbrun of Buttonwood Farm have our pastured, happy turkeys well under way. Sign up to reserve yours--Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

You can tell all your friends, too, because even non-members are welcome to purchase their Thanksgiving turkeys from Fair Shares! You can also order just boneless breasts, wings, drumsticks or thighs.

Fresh Turkeys will be ready with your share pickup on the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Fair Shares members will get their turkey at their regular pickup site. Non-Fair Shares members will come to Fair Shares main pickup site near Kingshighway and 44.

We're trying a new ordering system this year. We've created online store items for Thanksgiving Turkey -1 and Thanksgiving Turkey -2, in case you want more than one turkey. Just put the number of pounds you're looking for in the quantity box. We're also putting Thanksgiving Turkey Wings, Breast, Thighs and Drumsticks in the store. Fair Shares members will order through their account with their regular trades and orders. The price is listed as $0, so we will use this info as your reservation, and you will receive the automatic email as your order confirmation. We'll then enter the actual weight and price when the fresh turkey comes in.

Orders must be received by Wednesday November 20th. On that day we will email a list with your last name, pickup location and requested turkey size(s) for confirmation. If you do not receive this email by morning on November 21st, please click the link below to let us know and re-send your order!

Price is $4/lb. Whole Hens range from 16-20 pounds and toms range 20+ (sometimes up to 30!) pounds. We will fill your order as close to your preferred size as we can, within two pounds, if all grows as planned.

Turkey breasts $7.50/lb. ranging 5-7lb each.

Thighs are $4/lb. ranging in 2.5-5lb packages.

Turkey wings are $2.00 lb. 6 wings per pack around 5 pounds.

Pass this info along to friends and neighbors. Non Fair Shares members can just click here to order.

Of course, you can add them to your granola and just pretend they are part of the cereal, like grape nuts (which they are, actually). I find it most...Read more

As both a vendor and a member, I've found Fair Shares to be a wonderful organization to be a part of. It has opened my eyes to a whole range of farmers/producers in the region that I may never have had the opportunity to come in contact with if it weren't for my involvement with Fair Shares. And you folks all rock!
