Simple Sauté of Celtuce
Celtuce is a Chinese lettuce. The leaves are edible raw, but the stalk needs to be peeled to be eaten. The stalk has a subtle nutty taste, so I gave it a quick sauté with just a few ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
Fair Shares
Celtuce, peeled and sliced
Olive oil
Other ingredients
Salt and pepper
Sesame seeds
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan and add celtuce. sauté for a few minutes. Add the sesame seeds and salt and pepper. Stir for a minute more or until you smell the sesame seeds toast. You can serve this over rice, but I just gobbled it up!
