Know Your Greens!
We are greens heavy these days at the CSA. We wanted to share a few pictures (for identification) and advice. Its time to Know Your Greens!
- We try to provide 1 cookable green and 1 non-cookable green each week. Use the image and colored arrows to identify each
- Cookable greens typically last longer in your fridge
- Cook greens to keep them longer and consider freezing for later in the year
- Most greens are used the same way even though they have different names. Red Russian and Curly Kale look slightly different but are eaten the same way
