Easy Breakfast Porridge
Simplicity at its best. This is the ultimate lazy person’s meal (that’s me!).
Preparation
Ingredients:
1 part Companion Granola
1 part Windcrest Yogurt
1 part Canned Applesauce or Peaches
1 squirt Hilty Honey
1 T. MO Northern Pecans
Preparation:
Mix in a bowl and microwave for one minute or less.
I often do 1/3 cup each of granola, yogurt and applesauce, or sometimes I use fresh apples. When I use vanilla yogurt, it doesn’t need the honey. To make a batch for the family, or to serve at a brunch, you can make it look more from scratch if you bake it in the oven. In that case I would use the whole carton of granola, the entire tub of yogurt and most of the quart of applesauce or peaches. Stir it all together in an oven-safe crock and bake at 350 for about half an hour, until hot.
If you’re feeling super lazy (or if it’s hot out) don’t bother heating it up!
