Simple Broiled Salmon

 
Place salmon on a rack in a roasting pan, skin side down. Adjust oven rack to about 8 inches away from the broiler. Brush salmon top with aioli ( I made an easy one with 2 tablespoons mayo, a minced garlic clove, and some chopped parsley) or olive oil and herbs of choice.
 
Broil for 5-7 minutes, turning pan halfway through. Check internal temp with a thermometer to 125 degrees for medium rare to 140 degrees for well done.
 
Serve immediately.
