Irish-ish Stew
Here’s another super versatile recipe that uses all those turnips we have on hand, alongside potatoes, cabbage, and sausage.
INGREDIENTS
Fair Shares
Sausage, ground pork, or any protein
Potatoes, peeled and chopped
Turnips, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
Other Ingredients
1 onion, diced
1 small head cabbage, chopped
1 cup broth, water, or dark beer
Salt and pepper to taste
METHOD
Instant Pot
Press Sauté button and heat pot. Add oil and heat 30 seconds. Add sausage and onions. Stir to cook till meat is browned and onions are translucent. Add potatoes, turnips, abs chopped cabbage. Pour in liquid and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Close lid and set for manual setting at 10 minutes. At the wnd of cooking time, slowly release pressure. Stir avd add additional salt and pepper if needed.
Dutch Oven
Heat oul in a medium to large Dutch oven. Add onions ans sausage. Sauté till meatbis browned. Add the remaining ingredients and cover. Cook on low to medium for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are done.
