It's hard to believe we're in our SEVENTEENTH year! We are so thankful to all of our members, both old and new, and we look forward to feeding you all for another season.

We're especially grateful to our fabulous volunteer members who make this possible. It takes a village, and our Fair Shares Community is the most loyal and devoted group. ❤️🥰

We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and EVEN-week Half Share members this week.
(Note the ODD and EVEN half shares correspond to the odd- or even-numbered weeks of our season.)

Week 2
We are still waiting to get more produce from the ground, which makes this a great week to explore other items in our store. Do you know we sell locally made hummus and hand pies? Lots of different flavors and varieties to try out. Check the Prepared Foods category in the online store to see the varieties available.
We're excited to introduce long-time Fair Shares member Jamie Shupp as a new producer to Fair Shares

Vibrant Veggie Lentil Soup

Vibrant Veggie Lentil Soup
by Jamie Shupp

Even in the spring and summer I love soup! Its an amazing way to get in more veggies and nourishing broth! I started making my own broth because I was not happy with most products on the market, nor did I want to spend the money on the few I did like.

So about that mushroom broth…I just recently perfected a new broth utilizing some local organic mushrooms from Ozark Forest Mushrooms! I have had the request for a while for a veggie broth, and I decided on a beautiful shiitake mushroom broth that will nurture you and support the immune system. The mushrooms give it both medicinal value but also an incredible depth of flavor!

Spring Sprang Sprung

This wacky weather has really slowed the produce growth. We'll be seeing a lot more produce in the shares as the weeks go by, but availability is very slim right now, so hurry to the store to order up what little we have.

The first few weeks of the season are not the best time to judge a CSA, so thanks for your patience!

Tip: CSA Eating

Hey new members, there is a learning curve to eating locally and seasonally, so give yourself and your family the time to figure it out. It's worth learning because it can save you time and money, make you a more creative cook, and teach you to appreciate your food more … Read more
Biver Farms Organic Potted Plants

We will again be taking pre-orders for potted herbs and bedding plants whenever Keith Biver says he's ready. We will not offer plants until the appropriate planting time, and available plants will be listed in the store. Details to come.

Update on the Home Delivery Program

We are working with Perennial City Composting who will have one of their drivers do home delivery on
Fridays east of I-270. Delivery fees will ranging from $5.00 to $9.00. We are also looking into delivery options for members west of I-270, which is out of Perennial City's delivery area at this time. We are in
the figuring it all out stage and hope to have it running by mid May. We will do some shuffling around with groups and pickup days once we have more of the details resolved. For all those who completed the survey
with a yes of interest, we will be sending more information to you as it comes together.

Notes on Trades and Orders

If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.

Here's a video demo on how to make trades. Note that Farmigo has updated their system to allow you to click the items in your cart that have variations for you to select. Here's the link to LOGIN.

Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account.
