Welcome to Fair Shares Season 15 Wk9

We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and ODD-week Half Share members this week.

Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you need to switch the day, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday. All orders are due by 10:30 am Wednesday! If you don't make trades, your standard share list will be packed.

LOGIN HERE to select your time and ADD it in your cart. (Mercy South members don't need to select a time.) Make sure that you receive your order confirmation email, or your order didn't go through.

Note that you may update your cart as many times as you like. Your share will be packed for you whether you select a time or not, it just helps us have it ready when you arrive.

Special Notices This Week -- please read!

1. Thursday Mothership members pickup by 6:30. A number of us have events this Thursday evening and hope to get out by 6:30. If you are unable to make it by 6:30, please let us know.

2. More strawberries and asparagus available. We just found out our asparagus farmer also has strawberries ready, which we can get delivered if we run short. If you are hoping to order strawberries and asparagus but the store is saying we're sold out, let us know so we can order more in.

3. Sara and Stephen are moving Jun 3rd! We're down to the three-week countdown, and would love to say goodbye at a Happy Hour next Tuesday at the Mothership, 5:00 - 7:00p.m.

4. Many plant orders did not come in this week. We'll send what we have and request the rest for next week. Also, we're not taking any more plant orders, and will fill past orders and offer any available extras at the Mothership.

Missed Pickup Policy

As produce picks up, it becomes more of an issue when members fail to. We pull the frozen items at the end of the pickup and make notes on the bags. We want to give everyone a chance to reschedule before we dismantle the bags, especially when an order was placed, but we need the walk-in space by the following Tuesday.

We'll attempt to email no-shows in the hopes of minimizing excess handling, but ask everyone to make a concerted effort to get your bags picked up--you can come Friday between 11:30 and 2:30 if you miss your regular pickup. Email if you're coming so we know not to disassemble your bags. Repeated no-shows will incur a $5 restocking fee if you want to reclaim your missed food the following week. Thanks for your help and understanding! ❤️

Sheet Pan Chicken and Asparagus with Kohlrabi Greens Rice

I love simple dinners. This was a really good one. I’ve never cooked with kohlrabi before, I just peel and slice or grate the bulb part and toss the greens. This was a great way to use the greens. I’m saving the bulb for a salad later. Stay tuned for that.

Lions Mane Mushrooms

We've heard from a number of members that they don't know how to use these mushrooms, so here is a suggestion that I've tried and enjoyed, and also a link to aubreyskitchen.com, where you'll find a recipe for Vegan (or Vegetarian) Crab Cakes that looks and sounds like a special treat.

Notes on Trades and Orders

If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. We get nearly 400 order confirmation emails in the orders@fairshares.org account and WE DO NOT CHECK THEM, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it!

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra.

Here's a video demo on how to make trades. Note that Farmigo has updated their system to allow you to click the items in your cart that have variations for you to select. Here's the link to LOGIN.

Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account.

PLANT ORDER NOTES:

The plants listed in the store will be ordered from the farmer for your next pickup, not this week. When your plants have been ordered, we will add the item Pre-ordered Plants into your cart.

Note regarding "Choice" items in your shares: You can click the item to see what choices it mentions in the description, then make your selection via the online store by placing your choice in your cart and deleting the "choice" from your cart.
