Welcome to Fair Shares Week 19!

We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and ODD-week Half Share members this week.

Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], and your group is [Pickup Site]. If you need to switch days for the week, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday so we can switch you in the system.

New policy: Restocking fee

We will be charging a fee for members who repeatedly miss their pickup. Dealing with unclaimed bags is both annoying and time consuming at the end of very long, hot days. We understand that things come up and there are emergencies, but we pay people to pack the bags, bring them outside, bring them back inside, fish out and put away the frozen items, write the fished out items on the bag, put the bags in the cooler (if they haven't gotten soggy and fallen apart), and then collect and repack the bags when you show up. This may not sound like that big a deal, but multiply it by about 15 people per week, some with multiple bags and large orders, and you get the idea. This is just an "extra handling" fee, which will incur as follows:

First miss: No Charge
Second: $2
Third: $5
Fourth and up: $10

If you have trouble making your pickup on a regular basis, don't sign up for a pickup time, and let us know ahead so we will always wait to fill your bag when you arrive.

Share Holds

If you are planning to put your share on hold while you are on vacation this summer, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ORDER PRODUCE FOR THE SHARES ON MONDAYS, so you must make your share hold request by Monday at 8a.m. or you will be charged for your produce. Login to your account and click the Delivery Hold tab.
You may send someone else to collect your share if you forget, but we can't credit you for the produce we are stuck with. Thanks for your understanding.

We know, this is a lot of boring text to weed through, so here is a smiling tomato, because we love you.

Remember to check your bag before you leave. Let us know of any missing or wrong items. We may not be able to correct a problem in UCity or Kirkwood, but you can help save us a million emails and future work if you let us correct your bag when you pick up at the Mothership.

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

We're resurrecting this delectable dessert recipe. Although it's always impressive to serve at a party, in this pandemic era, you get to just post it on Instagram and then eat the whole thing yourself. Win, win!

Plus, FIGS ARE NOW IN SEASON, so make that win win win.

Fig Olive Tapenade

Fig Olive Tapenade

I rarely do more than just eat Ivan's fresh figs right out of hand--though I do love them with a little blue cheese. If I were to try them in an actual recipe, something like this tapenade would probably make me really happy. Preparation 1/2 cup or so of fresh figs, stemmed and cut in quarters) 1 cup …

Cucumber, Tomato, Peach and Corn Salad

The name of the recipe sort of says it all. You can use equal proportions, or more or less of any depending on your tastes, or what you have available. This salad is so fresh it deserves a slap on the face. It also makes a delicious salsa with the addition of hot peppers, …. Read more

Oh My Gazpacho

Oh My Gazpacho
I know this photo looks a lot like the Tomato Cucumber Peach Corn Salsa/salad recipe, but it's just a before shot. This is delicious as a salsa, a salad AND a soup. You can also stir some into plain yogurt for a little creamy dreamy treat. It's perfect. Enjoy! Read more

Gazpacho

Gazpacho
This raw, cold, blender soup is perfect for summertime when you don't want to heat up the kitchen, not to mention when those tomatoes are starting to stockpile... We know the color of this soup in the picture may not be the most appealing, but remember that green and red make brown, not gross.

Stuffed Patty Pans

Stuffed Patty Pans

These big white patty pans are so pretty and fun to use. One thing I learned is that it's important to season the squash well before cooking, or perhaps cook it with a flavorful broth inside. Don't be afraid to season the stuffing heavily as well, so that the flesh of the squash isn't too bland in …

Mexican Street Corn

Mexican Street Corn
The sweet corn this year is so delicious eaten just raw, naked, right off the cob, so when you dress it up in this rich, decadent outfit, it really turns heads. You can go overboard and really pile on the calories with a thick coating of the spiced mayo and cheese, which is worth it every …

Sweet Corn Critters - I'll spare you all the photo. You may have noticed that our corn is not highly sprayed to prevent caterpillars, so if you are squeamish, you may want to just take a knife and cut off the tops of your ears. And you should probably do this before storing it in the fridge, since those babies are going to continue eating as long as you let them.

Ground Cherries Are Here

Ground Cherries Are Here
Ground cherries, also known as husk cherries, or ground tomatoes, are related to the tomatillo, and hence the tomato. They are named for the fact that they fall to the ground from their bush when ripe. I sometimes get a texture reminiscent of kiwi. I have read descriptions claiming a mango or tropical flavor and grape texture, also. They are either like a lot of different fruits, or unlike anything else. You be the judge.

I have seen a number of ideas for what to do with ground cherries, but usually only eat them out of hand because they are so good as is and I rarely have them in such abundance that I need to think of something else to do with them.

Notes on Trades and Orders

Login and select your time and ADD it in your cart. Make sure that the time you want is in your order confirmation email. If it's not, please go in and try again.

You may update your cart as many times as you like.

If you aren't going to come early, please select the later time slots
If you miss the trades window, please just come after 4:30.

PLEASE, SHOW UP ON YOUR ASSIGNED PICKUP DAY!

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra.

Here's a video demo on how to make trades. Note that Farmigo has updated their system to allow you to click the items in your cart that have variations for you to select.

Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account.
