Trial Membership

Is Fair Shares a good fit for you?

If you are interested in joining Fair Shares but are hesitant to commit, we are offering the opportunity for potential members to check out our program for two pickups before signing up. You can purchase two shares, either consecutive or alternate weeks, at our main Fair Shares pickup site at Kingshighway and I-44.

This is a great opportunity to see what the shares are like. Come check out the tremendous variety of local food available--sample the fresh produce, try the happy meats, cheeses and grains--and experience the pleasure of what it means to eat seasonally.

You'll choose a Wednesday or Thursday, and come to pick up at our main Fair Shares pickup site at Kingshighway and I-44 during our regular pickup hours, 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. We'll give you an orientation, explain how our program works, help you get your food and make trades, and answer any questions you have.

The two-week membership will cost $110* ($55 per week) due at your first pickup. Email us at info@fairshares.org and let us know whether you would like to come on Wednesdays or Thursdays and if you would like two consecutive weeks or two alternate weeks. You may bring your credit card or a check made out to Fair Shares to your first pickup.

* We also offer the two week Mini trial for $75, or you can try a week of each the full and mini size for $92.50.

Please Bring Your Own Bags. You'll get a couple of fancy Fair Shares bags when you join and pay the $50 membership fee.

You can see what's in all the shares right now.

Testimonials

Fair Shares has created a new level of sales opportunities for area growers beyond restaurants and farmers markets. They have simplified for us the most difficult part of farming: marketing. Selling to Fair Shares has enabled us to sell larger quantities of produce with great ease. Not only is the ordering process simple but we can combine our deliveries with other farms in our area. Their commitment to supporting small local farms is unparalleled in the St Louis area, and we love them for it!
