Welcome to Week 42!

We look forward to seeing all full-share, mini-share, EVEN-week half-share and Delivered-share members this week.

We are officially in the count down to the end of Fair Shares Season 10! After this week, we have 6 weeks remaining before our March break.

Trades and Orders

Please login to your Fair Shares account in Farmigo to make trades and order extras. The tradable items in your share are listed in your cart. You can delete the items you don't want and add in other items from the store.
 - Members who pickup at Fair Shares UCity and Kirkwood, the online store is open only until noon on the day of your pickup, but if you don't make it into your account before then, you are still welcome to make trades at your pickup site.
 - Delivered Share members must order online by 9:30 on Thursday morning.

We don't have much produce, but there are still a few items, and we hope there will be enough sunshire and higher temps to get a bit more winter lettuce and spinach from the greenhouse. Also hoping it warms up enough for more carrots to be dug.

Now is the time to fill your larder with all the staples you'll need for our upcoming break--which includes Easter and (the start of) Passover. Feel free to customize your share to include what you and your family like.

We have a few half, boneless hams from Todd Geisert available in the store. $8/lb. Maybe 5lb. to 7lb. If you want to purchase now, we will put your name on it and store it for you for Easter (we'll be having a shopping day happy hour toward the end of March when you can pick it up.)

We request Thursday pickup groups wait until after Wednesday pickups are over before ordering.
Please note that on-premise sales may make the numbers in the store inventory moot. In the event that we are out of any items you ordered, we will either email, send substitutes or omit the item (depending on how much time we have). If there's something you want that isn't in the store, feel free to email because we just may have it. Any questions, email orders@fairshares.org.

We're about to turn 10 years old!

Baby it's cold outside. How about soup? Thai green curry paste and coconut milk, along with cumin, and kaffir lime leaves give this winter squash soup such an alluring aroma, and the sweetness and spicy heat becomes almost addictive.Read more

I always wonder why meatloaf gets slated as a humdrum dish, when it's so delicious and satisfying, and leftovers are always appreciated.Read more
This is a recipe for fresh pasta. This one calls for gnocchi, which we just get frozen, but any short pasta would work well here. This is completely made up, which means you can make up your own version based on what is available. The basic requirements that make this work well are: fresh pasta, veggies, good flavoring (onion, garlic, herbs), something juicy (fresh or canned tomatoes, some broth, etc.), greens (also adds some moisture), and a cheese (you could skip this, but really, why?)Read more
This was a pretty quick and easy meal that was a delicious preparation for the sirloin kebab meat in the shares. Would that I had remembered to take photos before getting it on the plate...Read more
============================================================================================== Note that the $ amount next to your pickup group is the trade value of all the non-produce items in the share. As we near the end of the season, we'll be evening out any overages and underages on all the shares.
