Welcome to Week 35!

We look forward to seeing all full-share, mini-share, ODD-week half-share and Delivered-share members this week.

We hope you all had a fun and flavorful holiday.

Trades and Orders

Please login to your Fair Shares account in Farmigo to make trades and order extras. The tradable items in your share are listed in your cart. You can delete the items you don't want and add in other items from the store. Remember, the store is open only until noon on the day of your pickup, and Delivered Share members have from now until until 9:30 on Thursday morning to place orders.

We request Thursday pickup groups wait until after Wednesday pickups are over before ordering, and please note that on-premise sales may make the numbers in the store inventory moot. In the event that we are out of any items you ordered, we will either email, send substitutes or omit the item (depending on how much time we have).  Any questions, email orders@fairshares.org.

We welcome our new Delivered Share members at Express Scripts!
Please join our community on social media, where fellow members share stories, photos, recipes and tips on how to use all the fun food in your shares.

Give the Gift of Food
As we roll into the holiday season, we would like to encourage you to give the gift of happy, local food! Whether you give a gift basket of Fair Shares goodies, a Two-week Full or Mini Trial Share or just a Gift Certificate for an amount you'd like to give as a gift in local, happy food, we are happy to help your friends, family and loved ones eat healthier and safer, and support local producers and the local economy. It's a win-win-win-win. Contact us to discuss some options, or let us know what you'd like to do.

May we also remind you that local food makes great teacher gifts. Order ahead and let us take the burden off you to get all that shopping done.

This is a great way to incorporate a lot of the miscellaneous items that are taking up residence in your vegetable drawer. I am sort of making up amounts, because I am too lazy to measure anything, and always adjust the flavor to taste in the end, so keep that in mind and consider looking up specific recipes for marinades and dressings if that sort of cavalier cooking makes you uncomfortable.Read more

This can be a 10 minute morning prep, as simple as chopping a couple potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions and garlic, and opening a jar. Comfort food at it's best.Read more
In the mood for noodles with Thai peanut sauce, or maybe a gooey, cheesy lasagna? Is Mexican striking your fancy tonight? Asian fusion? Go on, prepare it with spaghetti squash.Read more
This is a contribution from member Todd Eller: Julia Child once said the true test of any good cook is how well they can roast a chicken. No offense to Julia but I find it one of the easiest dishes to prepare, full of flavor and endless seasoning possibilities. So this week I give you my roasted rosemary chicken recipe. Learn this basic way to roast a whole chicken and then trade out the rosemary for any of your favorite herbs and seasonings.Read more
Chicken stock is a great secret ingredient in making delicious rice or pasta dishes, as well as soups and casseroles. There is no trick to making great stock. Even if you have nothing special to add but your happy chicken bones, your stock will be better--and better for you--than any canned version.Read more
