Fair Shares Delivers

Get weekly delivery of fresh, healthy local produce, happy meats, and a plethora of other locally and sustainably-produced food, including dairy, pasta, breads, grains, and more right at your workplace! We're open to group delivery at your gym, yoga studio, school, or home, too, but all members must be available to take their food, or someone else must claim it for them.

We are a great addition to company wellness programs and would love the opportunity to discuss the benefits to employers as well as the benefits to employees. Would you like us to give a presentation and bring examples of the share and some other items we offer? Just email us and we'll arrange a day.

Join Now Form - Note that if you are joining at a current Delivery site, just list that site in parentheses after your last name, e.g. Hale (BJC).

How much does it cost?
The Delivered share is $37 including sales tax, plus $3 delivery per week.

What if I have dietary restrictions?
All non-produce items are tradable for other goods from our store (trade value must be used at time of trade). We'll send the email newsletter with your food list (plus recipes, tips and what other goodies are available) the Tuesday evening before your pickup. Make your trades and additional items through your shopping cart by 9:30 a.m Thursday to be delivered with your share.

What is included in the share?

We always include a protein, and depending on the season, a number of produce and non-produce items. Many of our farmers grow beautiful and delicious heirloom varieties for us, and all our meat and eggs are pastured, free-range, hormone and anti-biotic free. Here is a share from July 17th which included:

Hi Ho Lamb Apple Sausages - 1 lb ($11 trade value)
Yellow Wood Eggs - dozen ($4.50 trade value)
Berger Bluff Zephyr Squash - 3 and Costata Romanesco Squash - 1
Lee Farms Sweet Pepper Mix: 1 green, 2 Bulgarian, 3 banana
Berger Bluff Tropea Red Onions - 2
Nolte Hills Farm Slicing Tomatoes - 2
Brautigam Farms Japanese Plums - pint

*What is the minimum number of members needed at a single location to set up a delivery (Missouri deliveries only)?

Minimum of 5 weekly shares needed within a 10 mile radius of our warehouse (63110)

Over 20 miles, contact us.

*Note: If we have an established delivery in your area, we may accommodate a smaller number.

Here's where Fair Shares Delivers.

What day and time is delivery?
Currently our deliveries take place Thursday late morning and early afternoon.

What if I'll be on vacation or miss the delivery?
You can put your account on hold by the Sunday before if you need to skip a week. If we don't hear from you by then, you'll need to find someone to get it for you, or buy it from you (or it makes a great gift!).

How will the deliveries be packaged?
Since we have frozen, cold and dry goods, we will pack your shares and orders in an insulated cooler bag with an ice pack, the cost of which is covered in your one-time $50 membership fee. You will need to bring these back for the following pickup or you will be charged a $25 refundable deposit for additional bags.

Share Plans

All new members pay a one-time non-refundable $50 membership fee upon joining. Once the minimum number of coworkers from your workplace signs up using the Join Now Form, we will send you the link to select your plan (options shown below) and once you've made your payment, away we go! Your share and any additional purchases you wish to buy will be taken from the payment plan you select. When your account reaches $75.00 in credit, your credit card will charge the payment plan you select. We do offer incentives for selecting the larger payment plans. This helps us pay the farmers on delivery and stock additional items for trades and for sale.

Tip: Sunchoke 101

These roots of a sunflower variety, also known as Jeruselem Artichoke, look a lot like ginger root. There are different schools of thought on the origin of the name Jeruselem artichoke, which is not from Jeruselem. I believe the one that says someone misunderstood the Italian word "girasole" which means sunflower...Read more

Testimonials

As both a vendor and a member, I've found Fair Shares to be a wonderful organization to be a part of. It has opened my eyes to a whole range of farmers/producers in the region that I may never have had the opportunity to come in contact with if it weren't for my involvement with Fair Shares. And you folks all rock!
