Welcome to Fair Shares Season 19 Wk2
We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and EVEN-week Half Share members this week.
Note the ODD and EVEN half shares correspond to the odd- or even-numbered weeks of our season.
Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you ever need to switch the day or location, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday. We can change it easily in our system, but need to do so before we run reports and start pulling and packing shares.
• Select your pickup time and ADD it in your cart so we can be more efficient in our organizing and distributing shares.
• After saving your trades, if you don't receive a confirmation email, your order didn't go through.
• You may update your cart as many times as you like. Only your final cart contents will show on our report. • Your standard share items will be packed for you if you do not log in to your cart.
Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account, but keep in mind that we update the store inventory on Tuesdays just before sending out the newsletter.

Share Price Increase vs. Shrinkage
As mentioned in the previous email, we're sorry to report that there will be a price increase for Season 19. We are seeing rises in much of the food we include. From a filling-the-shares perspective, this presents a tricky situation. We are here to help our farmers and small producers stay in business, and shrinking the shares in order to stay in our weekly budget is not our first choice option.
We've all seen how items in the grocery stores change packaging regularly, and if you take a look, you'll notice that half gallon milk is now only 53 oz. instead of 64 oz. Or that 12 oz. beer is now only 11 oz. Rather than trying to be deceptive and just shrink the volume without telling you, we've increased the share prices by $5. This will be reflected in the value of food you receive in the shares, which will allow us to support our farmers without shrinking the amount we purchase from them.

Welcome Sarah Trone!
After many conversations, imaginings, and careful consideration of all the factors of the universe, we found a will and a way to keep the Fair Shares dream alive. We have all been on quite a journey together these past months, and we are so grateful for your patience, commitment, and belief in this community.
We hope you’ve enjoyed the first beautiful tastes of spring!
My name is Sarah Trone. I’m a former CSA grower with many years of experience in and around the work of feeding people. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing many of the hardworking hands that make local food happen, and I know that this work is essential for our communities. Along with the many capable hands who have steered the Mothership along the way, I am thrilled to help keep us all eating together! Read Sarah's full post

Biver Farms Organic Potted Plants For PRE-Order
We are taking pre-orders for potted herbs and bedding plants, with vegetable plants beginning Week 3. We will not offer plants until the appropriate planting time, and available plants will be listed in the store.
For those new to our system, we take pre-orders through the store, then order from Biver for delivery the following week. So your pre-order plants will be available at pickup the following week (or two weeks for half shares).
PLEASE remember that you have plants coming--we can't pack them ahead of time, so we write a note on your bag. We need the reminder!

Rebuilding Our Inventory
Because we were expecting to close our doors at the end of last season, we sold most of our inventory. With the new management learning the ropes and easing into the new season, we will be rebuilding our stock in the coming weeks, so won't have everything available. If you're not finding what you were hoping to, check back later, or let us know and we'll put it on our list for sooner rather than later.

Mojo is an easy flavor punch to add to your roasted asparagus. If you haven't tried the citrusy, garlicky sauce, often referred to as Cuban barbecue sauce, now is the time to put this Del Carmen delight in your shopping cart, whether "Del Carmen Choice" is on your weekly menu or not.

Notes on Trades and Orders
If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.
Please check the descriptions of items!
Some things are sold by the pound (like cuts of meat, indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.
