Welcome to Fair Shares Season 17 Wk12
We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and EVEN-week Half Share members this week.
(Note the ODD and EVEN half shares correspond to the odd- or even-numbered weeks of our season.)
Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you ever need to switch the day or location, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday.
LOGIN HERE to select your time and ADD it in your cart. Make sure that the time you want is in your order confirmation email. If you don't receive a confirmation email, your order didn't go through. You may update your cart as many times as you like. Your share will be packed for you regardless of whether you make changes or select a time. The time just helps us organize and have your bags ready when you arrive.
Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account, but keep in mind that we update the store inventory on Tuesdays just before sending out the newsletter.

Kirkwood Porch Pickup Members: please note that Lindy is on vacation this week and we will not have the time to contact anyone who doesn't show up. Please set an alarm on your phone and know that if your food is left there it will be donated.

We could use some silver insulated bubble bags that we put ice packs in and businesses send your chocolates in so they don't melt. We appreciate you bringing some in and will let you know when they are no longer needed
Fair Shares will be CLOSED 4th of July Week
Since the holiday falls on a Thursday, we will take the week off. That would be Week 14, so EVEN-week half shares, please note that you will have a month between this week's and your following pickup. Order accordingly!
Order Milk Now For the Week Off
Need extra milk for the week off? Jamie needs to know by 6pm this Sunday, June 23, to order it. We will not have lots of milk in the store next week because we don't want any left over for our week off, so if you normally just order form the store, please let Jamie know your milk needs by Sunday.

We don't want to order produce that we will have to donate. In the wintertime, this isn't as big a problem, but in high-produce season we have to charge you for the produce if you put your share on hold late. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Week 12
We have an influx of blackberries and blueberries at the moment. Sadly asparagus appears done for the season. Too much heat for them. We are in a lull for summer squash but the cucumbers are continually coming in. We have a big harvest of carrots from EarthDance Organic Farm School / @earthdancefarms NEW: Green Beans & Celtuce

Garlic Scape Falafel
I get so excited when garlic scapes are in season. I basically use them in any recipe calling for garlic, but this is a favorite.
Turkey Zucchini Meatballs
This recipe was actually for burgers but I don’t have buns so I made meatballs. They turned out beautifully and I think this recipe is best for meatballs because the meat was pretty sticky.

Share Your Shares!
Consider giving your share as a gift rather than putting it on hold during the summer. Our produce farmers especially appreciate it, and introducing your friends to Fair Shares is a great way to keep us sustainable.
People love to try new experiences. It's a great way to thank (or pay) your pet or house sitters while you're away!

Notes on Trades and Orders
If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.
The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.
Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account.
