Week 10
NEW: Black Raspberries, Sugar Snap Peas, Patty Pan Squash, Carrots with tops, Cabbage
Returning: Fresh Herbs - Cilantro and Dill, Chestnut Mushrooms

We have lots of garlic scapes coming in at the moment and the variety of produce is getting pretty large. We have limited cherries and shelling / sugar snap peas this week. They have a very short season so get them while you can!

Sizzling Mint
Zucchini Salad
This is a super easy side to whip up in about 20 minutes. We served it alongside burgers and it was a perfect contrast to the rich meat.

Roasted Asparagus Salad with Mayfair Dressing
This recipe is inspired by two local dining experiences...This salad is lovely and simple. You can add protein or some grains to make it a meal.

Garlic Scape Dip
This is a great dip for veggies or toasts, crackers and bread. It also makes a delicious spread for a sandwich or filling for an omelet. Can you say versatile? Read more

Garlic scapes can be used like you would garlic cloves, but you can be more generous because the scapes are milder. You can even just saute and eat them like green beans!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Please remember to ask for your plants at pickup if you ordered them in previous weeks!

Give the Gift of Food
Consider giving your share as a gift rather than putting it on hold during the summer. Our farmers appreciate it, and introducing your friends to Fair Shares is a great way to keep us sustainable.
People love to try new a experience, and it's a great way to thank (or pay) your pet or house sitters while you're away!

Notes on Trades and Orders
If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.
The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.
Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.
