Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you ever need to switch the day or location, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday.

LOGIN HERE to select your time and ADD it in your cart. If you don't receive a confirmation email, your order didn't go through. You may update your cart as many times as you like. Your share will be packed for you regardless of whether you make changes or select a time. The time just helps us organize and have your bags ready when you arrive.

Fair Shares Big News
Since we sent the email announcing that this will be the final season for Fair Shares, we have received so many nice notes of gratitude and love, and we thank you all for your kind words. We have had lots of emails asking where you can get some of this food we source once the season is over. We will be sure to keep you in the loop of where you might shop or what Fair Shares might become. We have a few people interested in keeping this afloat in some form. As we all learn more and can see if we are a good fit, we will let all you fab folks know where we will be eating next springβnone us wants to go hungry!
We will also keep in touch through through this newsletter with more information about the logistics of the wind-down of the season. In the meantime, thank you for trusting us to work out so many details week after week and year after year. We are so grateful for your support of our local farmers, vendors, and us in making this dream of ours a successful endeavor.

Order Your Thanksgiving Turkey Now!
Ready or not, it's time to think about Thanksgiving already. Buttonwood Farm will again have pastured, happy turkeys. Add a Thanksgiving Turkey to your cart from the Pastured Poultry category in the store to reserve your fresh turkey for Thanksgiving week. Prices have gone up this year. We are waiting to hear back on the size estimates for the wings, drums, thighs and breasts so you will be able to order appropriately.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and this is a reminder that pickups will be on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.

Week 31
- We should have apple cider back this week. The farm did not process any last week, which is why we were out. We have limited pumpkins if you need a last minute jack-o'-lantern!
π π π π π π
- New: Acorn Sweet Potato Winter Squash (from Dan Kelly at Blue Heron. It's also known as Thelma Sanders, a variety we got to try when Nolte got a grant to grow heirloom squash varieties)
- Returning: Red Kuri Winter squash
- Pictured: Cauliflower and Daikon Radishes

Refrigerator Antipasto Salad
I love refrigerator salads because you put in the work ahead of time, and reap the benefits for days. I love that this salad tastes better as the flavors marry. The trick to the staying power here is using chopped cabbage in place of lettuce! The cabbage gets tender, but still has a nice crunch. Itβs just perfect... Read more

Chicken Shawarma Sheet Pan Dinner
This recipe looked promising and I am pleased to say that it delivers! The trick is to time the chicken and the veggies precisely. I am happy that I got it on the first try! Marinating the chicken was worth the time... Read more

Notes on Trades and Orders
If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.
The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.
Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.
Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account.
When you pick up, remember to read your bag for any messages. There might be a decision you need to make on something. We don't add the half gallon bottles of milk (or pizza at the Mothership) to your bag, so need to get it when you pickup.

SHARE HOLDS NEED TO BE MADE BY 8:00A.M. MONDAY
If you realize too late that you aren't going to be able to get your share, consider asking a friend if they'd like to take it--whether for payment as a gift (it's a great way to pay dog walkers or house sitters!). It also helps us recruit new members. You can also contact us to arrange another pickup time. But with the amount and value of fresh produce in the shares, we can't afford to purchase all the extras we won't be able to sell.
