Welcome to Fair Shares Season 18 Wk15

We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and ODD-week Half Share members this week.

(Note the ODD and EVEN half shares correspond to the odd- or even-numbered weeks of our season.)

Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you ever need to switch the day or location, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday.

LOGIN HERE to select your time and ADD it in your cart. If you don't receive a confirmation email, your order didn't go through. You may update your cart as many times as you like. Your share will be packed for you regardless of whether you make changes or select a time. The time just helps us organize and have your bags ready when you arrive.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account, but keep in mind that we update the store inventory on Tuesdays just before sending out the newsletter.

This email is how we communicate with members. Please at least scan it so you know any important information, such as the notice below about share holds. If you have questions, just reply to this email.

If you realize too late that you aren't going to be able to get your share, consider asking a friend if they'd like to take it--whether for payment as a gift (it's a great way to pay dog walkers or house sitters!). It also helps us recruit new members. You can also contact us to arrange another pickup time. Thanks for your understanding.

Katie's Pizza

We are unable to order more Katie's Pizza and will only have what is currently in inventory. They hope to have their issue resolved in a couple of months. 😢

Ice Packs Still Needed

We know ICE is not a popular subject but we are in need of more ice packs. It’s tough to keep all this great food cold and fresh in this heat, so if any of you has a stash you would be willing to donate, we would appreciate any clean and intact ice packs. Thanks in advance.

New Item!

We are now selling a few flavors of Bagel Union bagels. They will deliver Thursday afternoons--we aren't sure exactly when, but we will sell the fresh bagels on site during pickup when they arrive. We will freeze what doesn't sell at pickup and add them to the store for the following week. We will start with Blueberry, Honey Buckwheat, Onion, Poppy seed, and Sesame seed. A bag of 6 for $10.90.

Tomatoes and peaches are here! It sounds like it will be a good year for both. Get those summer salad recipes ready! We’ve noticed caprese salads and margarita pizzas on menus. Yummmm!

Cucumbers Two Ways

Here are two simple and delicious recipes for preparing cucumbers. The Thai dish was so delicious that I devoured the whole thing and I had to make it again to nail down the ingredients. I will be eating this all summer!

Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.

Here's a video demo on how to make trades. Note that Farmigo has updated their system to allow you to click the items in your cart that have variations for you to select. Here's the link to LOGIN.

Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.

Wildcard produce items in parentheses are not a choice, but rather a surprise. We try to let you know what it might be to help you with planning and ordering. PLEASE do NOT contact us about wanting a specific item because the produce bags are pre-packed and we don't have the ability to manage requests.

A Wildcard or Choice in your list with a $ value indicates that you should delete it from your cart and select from the store to use up that value.
