Welcome to Fair Shares Season 18 Wk12

We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and EVEN-week Half Share members this week.
(Note the ODD and EVEN half shares correspond to the odd- or even-numbered weeks of our season.)

Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you ever need to switch the day or location, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday.

LOGIN HERE to select your time and ADD it in your cart. If you don't receive a confirmation email, your order didn't go through. You may update your cart as many times as you like. Your share will be packed for you regardless of whether you make changes or select a time. The time just helps us organize and have your bags ready when you arrive.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account, but keep in mind that we update the store inventory on Tuesdays just before sending out the newsletter.

This email is how we communicate with members. Please at least scan it so you know any important information. If you have questions, just reply to this email. Note that we include info for two weeks so Half share members all get a chance to see it!

SHARE HOLDS NEED TO BE MADE BY 8:00A.M. MONDAY

Now that we're in high produce season, it's time to reiterate our share-hold policy.
When we get late share hold requests, it's a lot of shuffling and computer work to add extras into the store (if it's not too late, and we can't always sell it because we already purchased the extra amounts we need), and it usually means having to give away the extra produce because we don't have a means to sell it. This is why we have to charge you for the produce if you put your share on hold late. With over 300 members picking up each week, even a few late share holds and no-shows can mean a lot of extra produce.

If you realize too late that you aren't going to be able to get your share, consider asking a friend if they'd like to take it--whether for payment as a gift (it's a great way to pay dog walkers or house sitters!). It also helps us recruit new members. You can also contact us to arrange another pickup time. Thanks for your understanding.

Week 12

This is the final week for asparagus, and probably for tart cherries, too. Lettuce is slowing down, but we're definitely moving into summer produce.

  • New: Broccolini, Cabbage, Fennel, Basil, Garlic, Lettuce Mix, New Potatoes, Cherry Tomatoes
  • Returning: Daikon Radishes
Fennel with tops, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, which our farmers are quite long on.

Notes on Trades and Orders

If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.

Here's a video demo on how to make trades. Note that Farmigo has updated their system to allow you to click the items in your cart that have variations for you to select. Here's the link to LOGIN.

Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account.
