Welcome to Fair Shares Season 18 Wk6

We'll see all Full Share, Mini Share, and EVEN-week Half Share members this week.

(Note the ODD and EVEN half shares correspond to the odd- or even-numbered weeks of our season.)

Your assigned pickup day is [Delivery Day], but if you ever need to switch the day or location, reply to this email before 10a.m. Wednesday.

LOGIN HERE to select your time and ADD it in your cart. If you don't receive a confirmation email, your order didn't go through. You may update your cart as many times as you like. Your share will be packed for you regardless of whether you make changes or select a time. The time just helps us organize and have your bags ready when you arrive.

Pro Tip: You can browse the store when it's "closed" by logging out of your account, but keep in mind that we update the store inventory on Tuesdays just before sending out the newsletter.

This email is how we communicate with members. Please at least scan it so you know any important information. If you have questions, just reply to this email. Note that we include info for two weeks so Half share members all get a chance to see it!

Week Six

🍓 Strawberries are in! 🍓

NEW: Strawberries, Rhubarb, and Collards

The greens are overflowing and fresh! Just a note about greens. We typically try to give one green that is able to be cooked and another that is usually used raw. It’s best to use those non-cooking greens first. The greens that can be cooked, usually last longer.

Rhubarb is coming in this week so get those baking recipes out!

New Coffee from Luna Maki

A member introduced us to a new coffee available in St. Louis, so we've ordered a few bags for the store. Available in medium or dark roast, this coffee grown in Honduras uses a special process purported to be cleaner, healthier, easier to digest and better tasting. We'll let you see for yourself!

Order Your Starters Now for Pickup Next Week

We’ve got a wide variety of “bedding plants” from Biver Farms available soon! Members can pre-order online with their normal share trades and orders. Search the Bedding Plants category in the store for available plants to order this week (for pickup next week, or two weeks for Half shares).

We will not offer plants until the appropriate planting time, so check back weekly if you don't see what you're looking for in the store.

For those new to our system, we take pre-orders through the store, then order from Biver who delivers the following week. These baby plants need a lot of TLC, and we can't order the number of extras necessary to keep them alive and be able to sell everything on site.

If you ordered plants last week, please prioritize collecting them at this week's pickup. We want your plant babies to thrive in your gardens!

Notes on Trades and Orders

If you have questions or an issue to resolve, please email info@fairshares.org. Do not reply to the order confirmation emails that send to orders@fairshares.org account--WE DO NOT CHECK THAT MAILBOX BEFORE PICKUPS, so if you want a reply, use info@fairshares.org, which goes to both Jamie and Sara, and one of us will see it.

The share clipboards below will include the fresh produce on your list, but the cart in your Farmigo account lists only the tradable items in your share. You must spend the total credit value in your cart but you are welcome to buy extra. Any amount over the tradeable value will show as Extra Credit and you will be charged additional plus tax on that amount.

Here's a video demo on how to make trades. Note that Farmigo has updated their system to allow you to click the items in your cart that have variations for you to select. Here's the link to LOGIN.

Please check the descriptions of items! Some things are sold by the pound (indicated by /lb. in the item name) so the actual price will be different from what's listed in the store. If what's in your bag is not what you were expecting, give it back. If you're at the Mothership, you may be able to choose something else. This is particularly important on items like bulk chicken breasts, where the item price shows the price per pound, but the package weight may be five pounds.
